LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 9, 2017) — AMR’s very own team member Doug Robinson, Executive Director for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, a long-term AMR client partner, recently received the 2017 Robert P. Shumate National Public Safety and Justice Contributor to Excellence Award.
The IJIS Institute unites the private and public sectors to improve mission-critical information sharing and safeguarding. The award is named for the first president of the IJIS Institute and is presented annually to the person from either industry or the public sector that has made the most valuable life-time contribution to justice and public safety information sharing.
“Under Robinson’s leadership, our client-partner NASCIO has become a major voice in the effort to persuade the public sector to accept new and innovative approaches to information sharing and processing,” stated AMR President and Chief Operating Officer Nick Ruffin. “Robinson has spent many hours speaking on topics such as cybersecurity and the adoption of information sharing standards, to name a few, that has contributed greatly to justice and public safety as well as other sectors of government. He is extremely deserving of this honor and we are extremely proud of this recognition of his efforts.”
