AMR Management Services is happy to announce the addition of the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) as a client partner. Beginning July 1, 2015, AMR will serve as UPPCC's headquarters office and management company, providing support from AMR's offices in Lexington, Kentucky, and Herndon, Virginia.
The UPPCC was founded in 1978 by the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement. Established as an independent entity to govern and administer the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification programs, UPPCC has become the go-to organization for credentialing public sector employees in the United States and around the world. "The UPPCC is at an exciting time in its 37 year history," stated David Gragan, CPPO, UPPCC Governing Board Chair. "This strategic move will help keep the UPPCC on the right track to continued success."
Nick Ruffin, CAE, AMR President and Chief Operating Officer, noted, "AMR has a long-standing history in the area of public sector procurement having served as a management partner for NASPO for more than 18 years. We welcome UPPCC to the AMR family and look forward to a successful partnership."
