This month, the AMR Employee Spotlight is shining on Diane Dougherty, who joined AMR as the director of member services, serving both our Lexington, Kentucky, and Chesterfield, Missouri, offices.
A few words with Diane:
Q. Please give us a brief overview of your previous education and work experience. 
A. I received a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. My previous experience includes working in sales promotion for a 165-store chain selling women’s clothing; owning my own desktop publishing/print brokering business; performing sales demonstration, software training and system documentation for a medical records software development company; and assisting home office operations for a large company that handles multi-media rights for most of the nation’s top universities.
Q. How would you summarize your current duties at AMR?
A. I manage all the duties related to the Membership Services Department, including member records, invoicing, and setting up and managing conference duties, such as registration. My immediate goals include review and documentation of all member service processes.
Q. What do you like most (or look forward to most) about working with associations?
A. I enjoy helping associations achieve their goals by providing excellent customer service to their members, while also aiding the other AMR support departments.
Q. What do you enjoy doing away from the office?
A. I enjoy traveling, reading, crafts, and home improvements.
