NASCIO – Director of Government AffairsOur Washington, D.C. office has an opportunity available for a Director of Government Affairs with the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO). The NASCIO HQ is located in Lexington, KY. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the State CIOs' views are represented in the shaping of federal policy. NASCIO policy positions, reflecting the State CIOs principles on priority issues, guide the association's activities to influence federal laws, regulations and directions of critical interest to the state information technology community. Responsible for maintaining and expanding strategic partnerships, federal legislative and issues tracking, analysis and advocacy. Other key responsibilities include verbal and written communication with members, policy makers and other stakeholders about policy-related issues while working closely with the Executive Director and the Executive Committee to implement and manage all government affairs policies, programs, services and practices for the Association, and to support the business initiatives and goals of AMR Management Services.
