Lexington, KY November 25, 2008 – AMR Management Services is pleased to announce three new staff additions. Pam Walker, Kari Emmons, and Samantha Stolt have joined the AMR team to advance AMR’s work in the non-profit management arena.
Pam Walker, Government Affairs Director: Pam will be responsible for developing and directing client’s government affairs activities and advocacy to advance their strategic policy agenda. This role will include ensuring the perspectives of AMR client’s views are represented in the shaping of federal legislation and policies, working with state and federal lawmakers on key issues and continued alliance building with strategic partners.
Because of her knowledge of state government, Pam is well qualified to serve our client and its members. Her experience includes over twelve years in high-profile government affairs positions including most recently as Senior Director of Government Affairs for the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) and Legislative Researcher with Billtrack, Congressional Quarterly. Pam has a M.A. in International Transactions and a B.A. in International Studies from George Mason University.
Kari Emmons, Project Associate: Kari will be responsible for providing administrative support to internal AMR client team members, functional departments such as Conference and Events, Marketing, and Finance.
Kari’s previous work includes serving as managing partner and co-owner of a custom window treatment company in Lexington, and administrative assistant/design consultant at the Lexington Design Center. Kari has a B.A. in Interior Design from the University of Kentucky.
Samantha Stolt, Receptionist: Samantha will be responsible for acting as the AMR “first-impression”, as well as administrative support to AMR client teams and functional departments such as Finance and Human Resources.
Samantha is a recent graduate of Berea College where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in management. Samantha has previously worked for the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good, a non-profit organization, as an event planner.
