Lexington, KY – AMR Management Services (AMR), a Lexington-based association management company (AMC) is pleased to announce that Nick Ruffin, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective December 1, 2010. Nick will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the company, and will have oversight of all AMR operations and client services.
Nick has been with AMR for six years, and has served in a number of positions including Director of Strategy Management, Director of Business Development, and most recently Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. As VP of Strategic Partnerships, Nick oversaw AMR’s functional services departments, including human resources, technology, finance and member records, and conferences and events. He also led corporate sales and marketing efforts, served on AMR’s Executive Team, and took part in client liaison and relationship building activities.
“Nick’s six years at AMR and his participation in ASAE and the AMC Institute has given him a great understanding of the AMC industry as well as AMR operations,” says John Ruffin, AMR President and CEO.
Nick holds a Bachelors Degree in Business and Economics from Mississippi State University, is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and Vistage International, and is sitting for his CAE certification in December of 2010.
